Wentworth is a members’ club, which plays host to the world’s best players every year, but our doors are open to you, too. We welcome visitors all-year round. Indeed, thousands of golfers every year come and experience the thrill of playing our three championship golf courses.
Individual, group and society bookings can be made Monday to Thursday, although guests staying in accommodation at Wentworth may also have access to playing facilities at weekends, too.

Sunningdale’s Old Course, which opened in 1901, was laid out by Willie Park Jnr....

It is pure enchantment that characterizes Sunningdale Old. Virtually every hole is played in splendid – and beautiful – isolation, and in harmony with nature.......There is subtlety here, a measure of drama, and a wealth of that one indispensable ingredient, pleasurable excitement......No wonder it may be the most beloved inland course in the British Isles.

Sunningdale was developed on land originally forming part of Windsor Forest. It was bought in 1524 by St John's College Cambridge who still own it today. In those days Sunningdale had few houses, the area being mostly common land covered with gorse, heather and a few trees. The construction of the Woking to Staines Railway divided the land and thereafter parts were sold off for development.

Richings Park Golf Club is built in the Park of a grand Eighteenth Century Country House. The course benefits from the many surviving old trees, which were carefully planted to create a fine setting for the original house. The Withy Brook flows through the grounds and this along with a number of lakes provides added interest. The par 70 course has been laid out to make use of these very attractive features. You have chosen to visit the website of Surreys most welcoming Golf Club and it’s the only Club situated on an island!
