A serious challenge to the low handicap golfer, whilst still able to accommodate the higher handicap player or society member. With a chalk base giving ample drainage and the ability to hold moisture through some of the hottest summers, the course will always tend to be in good condition.

Alderley Edge Golf Club has come a long way since 1907, when a small group of novice golfers decided to establish a course on the unpromising pasture known locally as Butterfly Bank.
