In 1936, Girton Golf Club was founded as a eighteen hole course by PGA Professional Allan Gow. He allowed the Club members to purchase the freehold of the course in 1965 and the course was extended to eighteen holes in 1979. In 1992 a custom-designed clubhouse was built and today Girton provides the golfer with a unique combination of course and clubhouse unrivalled in the area.

Cambridge National features superb short game and long game practice areas and first class tuition. The clubhouse offers a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, with dining room, bar and terrace over-looking both the spectacular 1st and 18th holes. The club, although privately owned by Vivien Saunders and Jenny Wisson, has a thriving Member's Section and new club members are always welcome. Visitors to the course are always warmly welcomed and encouraged to come back again!

The 18 hole 6594 yards parkland course is set in a quiet rural countryside location, with rolling hills and many large mature trees. A brook runs through the course and this, combined with 3 lakes creates a very picturesque setting . Overall the course offers an enjoyable, peaceful challenge to golfers of all standards.
