The original Duff House Golf Club was formally constituted on 1st March 1910 to a plan by the late James Braid. The brilliant Golf Architect Dr. Alister Mackenzie (who later went on to design the World famous "Augusta National") redesigned the course in 1923. The course is a flat, beautifully manicured parkland course with little rough. The large "Mackenzie" two-tiered greens, many well positioned bunkers and trees make the course a severe but fair challenge to golfers of all abilities.

Designed to offer a challenge to the more serious golfer off the back tees, the club golfer will find forgiveness for all but the most wayward shots from the forward tees. The highly complimented course design is credited to Tony Wardle, who has worked alongside Robert Trent Jones and Jack Niklaus, incorporating terrain and natural hazzards. The course has a variety of holes which present different questions each time they are played.

Kintore Golf Club, situated in the Royal Burgh of Kintore, was formed in 1911, since which time the total membership has grown to around 700. In the early 1990’s the course was extended to 18 holes and now covers a large area of ground from the Don basin, overlooked by the clubhouse, to mature woodland at the far perimeter, giving an interesting contrast between the ‘old and new nines’. Excellent drainage results in very few days of lost play throughout the year.
