The 18th Green and Clubhouse
Walton Hall Golf Course in Warrington is regarded as one of the finest municipal golf courses in the North West. This web site has been developed by Walton Hall Golf Club which has active Mens, Ladies and Junior sections holding regular golf competitions throughout the year. The club operates independently of the course, the management and operation of which is under the control of the Director of Golf and Warrington Borough Council.

Opened in 1978 Poulton Park is a nine hole golf course.
The course has seen a number of changes over the years with the addition of new tee positions, new greens, and new ponds which offer both members and visitors a challenging test of golf whatever their handicap.

A very testing flat parkland course with many natural water hazards and the prevailing wind creating a problem on each hole.

Under the expert guidance of Lymm's Course Manager, Stuart Yarwood, and his team the course has been undergoing extensive improvements with the recent additions of various new greens tees and bunkers.
The course is par 71, 6341 yards off the back tees and from the ladies tees it is par 73, 5567 yards. There is a very good mix of holes of different types and difficulties and most visitors find it a good challenge.

Founded in 1877, Haydock Park Golf Club is a well established golf course situated near Haydock Park Racecourse, it is a mature parkland course of just over 6,000 yards.
It was designed by the famous golf course architect James Braid. You can find more information on James Braid by clicking here.
Only 5 Minutes from Junction 23 on the M6 and just off the A580, it is easily accessible from any part of the country.

Welcome to Grange Park Golf Club. Grange Park GC is possibly one of the finest tests of inland golf in the northwest. Founded in 1891, the course is prepared to the highest standard by Course Manager Owen Mullen, and whilst not too long at 6400 yards, the contours of the fairways, small greens and penal rough demand the best from players.

Golf was first played in Widnes during the early years of the twentieth century on the land bordered by Moorfield Road and Bowers Brook, known locally as the 'Bongs".Here the early enthusiasts cut holes and marked out teeing grounds.

The Club is located close to the village of Culcheth, some 6 miles from Warrington, and its surroundings give the impression of being in the heart of the country.

The undulating 18-hole parkland course, opened in 1973, measures 5912 yards, par 71 & provides a challenge to golfers of all abilities. It is one of the best kept municipal parkland courses in the North West and is open daily throughout the year from light until dusk.
Each hole has its own unique features. Generally wide fairways do not unduly punish the high handicappers, but even scratch players will do very well to finish under par. Two par fives, a sprinkling of par threes...
