Opened in 1978 Poulton Park is a nine hole golf course.
The course has seen a number of changes over the years with the addition of new tee positions, new greens, and new ponds which offer both members and visitors a challenging test of golf whatever their handicap.

The James Braid designed golf course at Mere is as famous for its beauty as it is for the challenges it presents. The undulating parkland course with breathtaking views over the Cheshire and Staffordshire border offers a challenge to all golfers whatever their standard. The view from the 13th green is spectacular to say the least allowing uninterrupted views across six counties.
At par 70 and 6225 yards the course not only offers a sporting landscape of considerable challenge but also provides the scenery and tranquility which transforms a round of golf into a truly memorable occasion.

The course is 18 holes occupying some 150 acres of rolling Cheshire countryside. From the men's white tees it measures 6414 yards with a par and standard scratch of 71, consisting of 2 par 5s, 3 par 3s and 13 par 4s. From the ladies red tees the course measures 5489 yards with a par of 72, consisting of 3 par 5s, 3 par 3s and 12 par 4s.

Cheadle Golf Club was established in 1885 and is the second oldest golf club in Cheshire (the oldest being Royal Liverpool at Hoylake).

Over the years the club has produced such fine county players as Alan Cliffe, who made over a 100 appearances for Cheshire, John Done, a former Cheshire player, Ray Hughes who is the current Cheshire Team Captain and lastly Paul Waring who has represented both Cheshire and England and is hoping to gain selection for the Walker Cup Team.
