The Club is located close to the village of Culcheth, some 6 miles from Warrington, and its surroundings give the impression of being in the heart of the country.

Set in 200 acres of Cheshire countryside, Aldersey Green Golf Club has a golf course that is envied by many but rivalled by few in terms of sheer enjoyment to play. Many of the fairways are tree-lined and narrow making accuracy from the tee absolutely pivotal to scoring well. The course is also home to 14 lakes so by warned that any stray shots can, and on many occasions will be punished. Packing a few extra balls in your bag might be a good idea!

The undulating 18-hole parkland course, opened in 1973, measures 5912 yards, par 71 & provides a challenge to golfers of all abilities. It is one of the best kept municipal parkland courses in the North West and is open daily throughout the year from light until dusk.
Each hole has its own unique features. Generally wide fairways do not unduly punish the high handicappers, but even scratch players will do very well to finish under par. Two par fives, a sprinkling of par threes...

Macclesfield Golf Club members have been welcoming guests to their hillside course for 100 years - and many return year after year to enjoy the wonderful views and superb challenge of golf.

Alder Root was first opened May 1993. It is a challenging and demanding 10 Hole course that pushes any golfer, of any ability, sex, or age! Here at Alder Root, we have three packages for you to choose from. Societies can be from a minimum of 10 people to a maximum of 50 people.

The Club was formed in 1992 after a chance meeting between Colin Axford, the landowner and the Late Mike Slater PGA Golf Professional and Course Designer,and after received planning permission for construction of the 18 hole course and clubhouse early in 1993 the course building got underway commenced later that spring. 26 weeks later, using land which was originally a turf farm the first 9 holes were opened, the date was Sunday 28th August 1993 - just 12 months to the day from it's conception.
