Established in 1930, this 18-hole undulating parkland course is located in the grounds of Allestree Hall within Allestree Park. The higher points of the course allow picturesque views across rural Derbyshire. The course offers a challenging test of golf with the trees, which line the fairways, ready to catch the wayward shot! All in all a fantastic test of skill and an enjoyable day out.

Romiley golf club was founded on 29th July 1897 and was originally known as
Woodley and Romiley golf club. Course architect Tom Renouf used the natural contours of the land to plan and design what is now regarded as one of the best layouts in Cheshire with stunning views across the county and the foothills of the peak district National Park.

The golf course measures 6412 yards and has a par of 71 with every hole tree lined making an idyllic yet challenging course.

The full 18 holes at Northenden stretches along the banks of the Mersey with some eye-catching views over the 6,432 yard par 72 track…the longest and toughest of the Mersey courses. Two loops of nine holes meander their way through up to one hundred different types of trees and although the course is flat it makes the layout a superb test of golf with a classical card of four par 3’s, four par 5’s and ten par 4’s.

Lying on the western hills of the Pennines where Derbyshire and Cheshire meet, Mellor is an interesting mixture of moorland and parkland golf. Magnificent views across the Cheshire plain and Derbyshire hills serve as a backdrop for a course to test the skills of all golfers at all levels.

The opening holes although not long provide an immediate examination of shotmaking ability and are set amongst mixed woodland including oak and elegant silver birch.

Opened in 1969, by professional golfer Max Faulkner, Pastures Golf Club has changed very little since then. That is of course apart from the few hundred trees that have been planted, the new tees that have been built, the green that has been moved, the better maintenance of the course and the fact that the course is now played in a different hole order than originally planned.
