Wollaton Park Golf Club, Nottingham's premier golf club, is regarded by many as truly one of the "gems of Midland Golf". Set in over 300 acres of magnificent parkland, the course, which is overlooked by the imposing 16th century Wollaton Hall, is traditionally parkland in character. It is pleasantly undulating and winds its way through historic woodland which incorporates many fine specimens of trees.

Ruddington Grange, the first of a new crop of Nottinghamshire golf clubs is an attractive parkland type layout. Although quite open there is danger lurking in the way of cleverly positioned water hazards which come into play on eight holes. At just over 6,500 yards the course is not "long" by current standards and can be enjoyed by every standard of golfer. The course record of 68 was set in 1989 by Chris Hall and later matched by Lee Westwood.

Visitors are always welcome at Didsbury, but small groups and individuals must contact the Professional or the Club Manager to arrange a slot. Society organisers ought to deal directly with the manager to discuss their requirements. Society days tend to be Thursday and Friday but it is not unusual to find a booking available on any day at certain times of the year.

This stunning 18 hole championship course was designed by John Bealey and modified by ex-Ryder Cup player and top international course designer Dave Thomas to follow the picturesque contours of the natural landscape you would expect in Cheshire. He achieved this so successfully that today the Club is proud to be considered one of the most beautiful in the North West of the UK.
