The 9-hole course has developed into an excellent test of golf for all levels of ability, since opening in 1994. Bushes, bunkers and an extra nine tee off areas have been introduced, as well as a Club House, Pro Shop, catering for all standards of golfers and a cafeteria situated in the picturesque historical barn within the racecourse boundaries.

Golfers of all levels of proficiency can enjoy a challenging round on the golden fairways and smooth greens of the full 18 hole golf course. In idyllic and tranquil surroundings, La Grande Mare Golf Club prides itself on having a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. As well as accepting green fees from non-members the Club also holds several open competitions and regular events for members throughout the year.

Villa Golf is a family run, nine hole pay&play course, set in a tranquil valley in the charming, picturesque, village of Blackham. Originally designed in 1990, the course has matured to become a genuine test of skill for both experienced and novices golfers. Although only 9 hole, the course is a gradually being improved, and offers a variation on the back nine for those wishing to play 18 holes.

North Lincolnshire Council came into being on 1 April 1996, taking over an 85,000-hectare area of the former South Humberside. The area has a population of 157,050 in a mix of urban and rural areas. Scunthorpe is the largest town in North Lincolnshire with a population of around 60,000.

Poult Wood Golf Centre is set in rural woodland, three miles north of Tonbridge. It has a reputation for being one of the finest quality pay and play golf centres in the South of England. The green fees for both the 18–hole and 9–hole short courses represent excellent value for money with concessions for juniors, students, senior citizens, Leisure Pass holders and regular users. Poult Wood is also a qualified starter centre for junior golfers.
