The Club was formed at a Meeting held in the Council Chamber of the Norwich Guildhall on 8th November 1893. The Duke of York (the future King George V) consented to become our Patron the following day and the Club's emblem was therefore designed around the white rose of York. The Club takes pride in its Royal patronage that has continued thereafter.

Situated just a few miles to the North of the historic market town of King's Lynn at Castle Rising is one of East Anglia's premier golf clubs.
Carved out of the picturesque North West Norfolk pine and silver birch forests just down the road from the Royal Sandringham Estate this sandy well-drained course compares favourably with some of the finest inland courses in the UK.
