ewton Green Golf club was founded as a 9-hole common land course in 1907. It is one of the oldest golf clubs in Suffolk.
The Common land area now holds 8 holes for the 18 hole course plus a spare hole we maintain for the villagers 9 hole rights, practise, and as an emergency hole when we undertake any large scale work on the course. These are challenging golf holes, where patience and tidy golf will reap rewards.

The course is sprinkled with lakes. Ducks, geese and swans share the surroundings with the golfers. You can see the grounds of the old hall in the east and there’s Blueberry Wood in the north. In 1997 when The Old Course opened, 42,000 trees were planted. Since then a further 10,000 have been planted , adding to the landscape created in the design of the second course

Developed on land where once stood a pit head and it's entire mining community, Blyth has matured and developed into a tree-lined parkland couse with a par of 72 - but don't be fooled by it's gently undulating character. It's first six holes are a test for any golfer and negotiate them without dropping too many shots and you can be set up for a good score. But beware - there are some cunning water hazards on 9,12,13 and 14 that demand a strong nerve and a sure stroke. They don't call the 13th...

If you have played Hexham you will need no persuasion about the merits of the course. If you haven't, you have a treat in store! A traditional parkland course on fast draining land on the south side of the River Tyne, Hexham Golf Club is a tough enough test of golf to regularly host County events, yet at 6,301 from the medal tees it is enjoyable for club golfers of all standards. The greens are regularly amongst the best in the County, and the views over the confluence of the North and South...
