The golf club started on the golf links attached to Wrekin College. By 1907 the club, then known as Wellington Golf Club, moved to a nine hole layout on land adjacent to Steeraway Farm, Wellington. At around the same time it was negotiating - phrase used loosely - with Lord Forester to use land from his estates on the side of the Wrekin to lay out new and improved links. Telford Golf Club is situated in a Sutton Heights area of Telford, close to the A442. If you are approaching Telford from the M54 leave the motorway at Junction 5 and follow signs for the A442 in the direction of Kidderminster. The golf club is well signposted as you begin to leave Telford heading towards Kidderminster.

Previously a ten-hole course at nearby Brimstree Hill, the members were able to buy the existing Georgian property and 113 acres of parkland in 1963 and turn it into the present 18-hole course.

The layout was designed by Frank Pennink of C. K. Cotton & Co. although the inital work of clearing, land drainage and fairways was done by the members. The course is now one of the best in the county with it's natural features shown in their finest form.

Out of bounds from the tee on the left (car park) and right (driving range), bunkers on left and right of fairway at approximately 220 Yards. A very makeable par 4. The fairway slopes left to rights with thick rough on the right hand side. The second shot is made harder with the green sloping off towards a water hazard to the right hand side.

The clubhouse at Arscott is a most attractive timber framed building with a perfectly positioned balcony to relax with a drink surrounded by stunning scenery. Martin and Caroline Hamer who own and run the course and clubhouse have always strived to create a warm welcome and a friendly club. As well as catering for club members, societies and visitors the clubhouse is available for parties, meetings and dinners

Mile End Golf Club is a full size 18 hole course covering 135 acres on the Welsh borders of Shropshire. The original 9-hole course opened in 1992 with the additional 9 holes being completed in May 1996.
