Taunton & Pickeridge is a traditional members' golf club set on Pickeridge Hill in the Blackdown Hills about 3 miles outside Taunton. The golf course was designed by Mr Henry Fowler out of the rolling contours of the land and has views over the Vale of Taunton and the countryside for miles beyond. It is a course of traditional design and though not a long course, it is still a very good test of golf. The well established 6105 yards par 70 parkland/lakeland course offers a challenging and memorable round for all standards of golfer. A series of lakes, cascades and a trout stream run through the course, creating water hazards on ten of the eighteen holes. You are never far away from the sound of running water and quite likely to spot a kingfisher, heron, swan or buzzard during your round.
