At nearly 7,000 yards the course is one of the longest in Surrey. When played from our championship tees it offers a real challenge to golfers of any standard. There are forward tees on all holes but with the white tees at 6,600 and yellow tees at 6,300 it still offers a challenge for any player to play to their handicap.
The holes offer a great deal of variety. Water comes into play on 5 of the holes and strategically placed bunkers can catch wayward shots so there is a...

Copthorne, a lovely old course set in attractive woodland, has been a private members club ever since its founding in 1892.
Situated half way between East Grinstead and Crawley and only five minutes from Junction 10 on the M23, the Club is very accessible but also offers a haven away from the hustle and bustle of life in the area. The quiet atmosphere is created by the trees, many of them hundreds of years old, which absorb the noise of the world about them.

A unique heathland golfing challenge Woking is a heathland course providing the golfer with a test characterised by beautiful but menacing heather carries, fast running fairways and greens full of “subtle” slopes. Complementing this, the player is frequently treated to grand views, as the rise and fall of an interesting topography unfolds, enhancing an architecture which, over the last century, has influenced the thinking of many course designers. As great golf vistas go that from the 11th...

Few can doubt the beauty of the West Surrey course with its tree-lined fairways and contrasting scenes of the Surrey landscape. The course winds slowly upwards towards its highest point 440 feet above sea level, round the 16th tee.
From there, apart from a teasing climb to the 17th, it begins a gentle descent back to the clubhouse and it is not fanciful imagination to say that it has the tranquillity and charm of a bygone age.
Opened in 1910 the course was...

The course design is attributed to Cuthbert Butchart who became the first professional before the course was built. It has remained largely unaltered in layout but much work has gone into improving the quality of the fabric and the presentation. The watering system for the greens and tees was installed in 1981 and this has now been augmented by full state of the art fairway watering. A bunker refurbishing programme was started in 1999 and all 18 holes have reprofiled bunkers with improved...
