South Shields Golf Club is one of the longest established Clubs in County Durham, North East England.
It is situated on the Cleadon Hills next to the Cleadon water tower, a local landmark which can be seen for miles around.
The course is a coastal heathland, open to sea breezes and has wonderful views all round, particularly over the Tyne estuary and north to the Cheviot hills and south to Wearside and the North Yorkshire coast.

Designed by Dr. Alister MacKenzie, a name synonymous with Augusta National -the home of the US Masters - South Moor is one of only two MacKenzie designed courses in the region, Durham's only true heathland course and one of only 40 or so in the UK

the course boats a length of just over 6000 yards with scratch set at 70. Current membership statistics show that Seaham has over 500 gentlemen, and over 60 lady members.

As an 18 hole parkland course, it has a standard scratch of 69, and although it is only 5825 yards long, it never the less offers golfers of all abilities a tough and enjoyable challenge.

The Heworth Golf Club is one of the most popular golf clubs in the North East of England. Whether you have played Golf in the Gateshead area or the North East of England before, or if this is your first visit, Heworth is a golfing venue not to be missed. This Tyneside course is situated on the South Eastern border of Gateshead, Tyne and Wear and will provide a fair test of golf for players of all abilities.

If you are planning an away day, we sincerely hope you will consider visiting our beautiful established course set in the Derwent Valley. You will be made most welcome. It is an excellent course for an enjoyable day for golf societies, as well as corporate golf days and casual visitors.
Green fees are £25 per day, Monday to Friday, and £30 on a weekend. When playing with a member the fees are £15 per day, Monday to Friday, and £20 on a weekend.

Tyneside's course is recognised as one of the most picturesque in the area and is an excellent test of golf for the accomplished player without being intimidating for those less proficient. Measuring 6042 yards from the men's medal tees and 5552 yards from the ladies, the course offers consideable variety and is renowned for its excellent greens, with a par of 70.

The course is a challenging par 71 and measures 6543 yards when played from the Mens medal tees.
The landscaped and contoured greens will try your putting abilities to the full. The greens are complimented by beautiful undulating fairways and strategically placed sand traps, which provide a golfing challenge for players of all levels of handicap.

The Club was founded in 1912 by a few Gentlemen of the village. It was started with 9 holes on the old vale course, but after a short while it moved to South Boldon. It remained a 9-hole course until 1926, when it was expanded to 18 holes with over 100 acres, laid out to the design of Mr Harry Vardon.

Birtley Golf Club is situated close to the A1 near to Chester Le Street in County Durham England.
The Course is a nine hole layout with 18 tees described as a little gem on the hillside of Birtley by Golf Monthly.
A Parkland course measuring 5729 yards par 67, with testing par threes and 6 par fours over 400 yards. Be prepared for a testing start as the first hole is a 238 yard par 3 followed by the second hole at 453 yards dog leg par 4.
