York's oldest golf club was formed in 1890 and moved to Strensall in 1904 where the course was designed by J.H. Taylor.


In the early days the course was very open, now the fairways on the 6301 yards course are tree lined but the flat course retains its natural heathland and heather heritage and provides plenty of variety and challenge for the high and low handicapper alike.

It's a massively expansive seaside course with a difference. After the 3 opening parkland holes play is on the Cliff Top 100ft above the beach.

The Course remains true to the ideals of its architect Alistair 'Augusta' Mackenzie, there's little rough and few trees and though the greens are generous they are cunningly shaped to provide a challenge. North Cliff Golf Club is situated 2 miles north of Scarborough, North Yorkshire, on the coastal road to Whitby. Although mainly a parkland course, it does have a cliff top start and finish. Pontefract and District Golf Club was established in 1904. The course is an attractive parkland course with several interesting holes.

Because of its compact layout is a good test of golf for a par of 71 and a SSS of 69.

Visitors are welcome to Pike Hills Monday to Friday and enjoy a beautiful and perfectly maintained parkland course. All visitors are considered temporary members and enjoy the same facilities as members. A large car park is adjacent to the club house.

Pannal Golf Club lies to the south of Harrogate amidst glorious countryside. It is one of the premier clubs in the North of England, founded on 28th June 1906, on land leased from The 5th Earl of Harewood, who became the Club President. Swallow Hall was founded in 1991 as a nine-hole golf course to attract people to the caravan site. A further nine holes were added in 1992 following the initial success of the original course. As we stand now, we have a beautifully maintained par-3 18 hole golf course and floodlit driving range with tuition available upon request.
