It's a massively expansive seaside course with a difference. After the 3 opening parkland holes play is on the Cliff Top 100ft above the beach.
The Course remains true to the ideals of its architect Alistair 'Augusta' Mackenzie, there's little rough and few trees and though the greens are generous they are cunningly shaped to provide a challenge. At a shade over 6400 yards, Par 72, with four short holes, South Cliff is huge fun, not least on a summers day when the views are...

North Cliff Golf Club is situated 2 miles north of Scarborough, North Yorkshire, on the coastal road to Whitby. Although mainly a parkland course, it does have a cliff top start and finish. Stunning views of both the North Bay and Castle make this James Braid designed course both a delight and a challenge to play at any time of the year.

This is the story of the Club, founded in 1891 as Scarborough Golf Club which, sixteen years after its inception, changed its name to The Ganton Golf Club Limited. All those golfers who have been invited to become members of Ganton over the past History of ganton 115 years, the visitors and all the accomplished golfers who have graced Ganton in various Championships and enjoyed this historic course, must thank those founding members for their foresight.
