This beautifully maintained 9-hole parkland course designed by Tom Morris in 1908 represents a challenge to golfers of all abilities. With a standard scratch score of 68 for men (71 for ladies) the 5900 yard layout provides many a test.
The course and its surroundings are famous locally for the rich variety of wildlife. A pause on the 5th fairway is frequently rewarded with the sight of soaring buzzards so golf is not the only pleasure of a round at Tarland.

Founded in 1780, Royal Aberdeen is the sixth oldest golf club in the world. For the first thirty five years of its existence the club was known as The Society of Golfers at Aberdeen, with members of the society being determined by ballot.
