Approximately 300 yards on left-hand side a sign welcomes you to Rhondda Cynon Taff and, a little further on, there is a SHARP TURNING TO THE LEFT. Take this turning (you will see signs for Llechwen Hall Hotel and Whitehall Golf Club at this point).

Situated on the outskirts of Ffestiniog Village about 900 feet above sea level, Clwb Golff Ffestiniog, formed in 1893, is one of the highest golf courses in Wales.
With picturesque views of Ffestiniog and of the surrounding area, this has many natural features and hazards. The par 68 course measures 4,602 metres from the Gents Tees and 3,878 metres from the Ladies Tees.

We want to maintain a long tradition of friendliness and hospitality without too much formality. Our par 66, 9 hole course starts with three well designed holes in an atmosphere of peaceful tranquillity. It then offers six more against a background of spectacular, panoramic views of Cader Idris and the Mawddach estuary. It is hilly but somehow doesn't feel like it. The serene beauty and grandeur of the varied landscape in this part of Mid-Wales is breathtaking.

The Vale of Glamorgan is probably the richest of Welsh farming heartlands and when Peter Johnson saw 200 of its precious acres contained in the grounds of Hensol Castle just a mile or so off the M4 he knew he had found the golf site of his dreams.
A tree-lined stream meandered through the undulating meadows feeding a 20 acre lake and crossed with some old stone bridges and dam work that reeked with character. Official coach to the Welsh Golfing Union and a former Cardiff club...
