The course is a most picturesque one, running in three terraces on the mountain between Tredegar and Rhymney, affording glorious views and the air is heavily laden with health giving ozone equal to the best spa in England and Wales.

The greens and fairways have been excellently prepared by the club professional Mr Phillips and many experts in the game have complimented him upon his success. Describing the greens as among some of the best in the district.

Established in 1909 and located on the present site since 1916, the 18 hole course has a pleasant parkland layout in a tranquil rural area.

At just 5,708 yards the course could easily be dismissed as being too short, but with small, fast greens and several, tight driving holes the course offers a challenge to golfers of all handicaps. The par three 15th is one of the most challenging short holes in Wales and the 17th, a par four is where many a good competition card has been...

Without doubt the 18 hole golf course is maturing into one of the most picturesque and well conditioned golf courses in the Vale of Glamorgan. The 5291 yard course demands more than just length, it requires a little bit of imagination to manoeuvre your way around and over the mature oaks, bunkers and banks - not to mention the odd water hazard here and there.

Located 8 miles west of Swansea in the Gower Peninsula, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Golf has been played there since 1896, although the course owes most of its appeal today first to James Braid and then to C.K. Cotton.

The holes are routed over classically undulating and tumbling linksland, full of hummocks, hillocks and hollows and pocked with dunes large and small; in sum, exactly what we might hope to find beside the shore.

This 6,700 yard course has twice hosted the Welsh PGA Championships and is therefore the only course in Swansea that can claim 'Championship' status. It overlooks Swansea to the East, the Bristol Channel and Mumbles to the South, the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons to the North, with the commanding heights of Gower's Cefn Bryn to the West.

The large greens are generally in excellent condition. The course offers a challenging test of golf to all handicap levels at 6323 yards, par 70 sss72.

We are conveniently located just 15 minutes from the M4 within the splendid surroundings of the Brecon Beacon's National Park. We offer excellent golf and social facilities all year round and provide a warm welcome to all our guests, whether it be a large society group or an individual who wants to escape for a quiet round of golf on their own.

The Langland Bay Golf Club was formed in 1904, and is predominantly meadowland, it is ideally located between the delightful bays of Langland and Caswell, on the Gower peninsula-Britain's first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Although quite short and with an SSS (Standard Scratch Score) of 69 the prevailing winds can sometimes add many yards and strokes to one's score, but nevertheless overclubbing can be disastrous, with trouble behind most of the small and well...
