Description

The course has changed a great deal over the years, with at least two major reconstructions since Harold Hilton transformed it into a full eighteen holes that opened for play in 1903.

Visually beautiful and set in the heart of the West Lancashire countryside with only the odd farmhouse to be seen behind its numerous mature tree-lined fairways. It offers a stiff challenge to all levels of golfer.

Set in 125 acres it has a total length of 6358 yards - par 70 (SSS 71). The front nine is regarded as one of the longest in Lancashire-North West.
