Ratho Park Golf Club is situated only five minutes from Edinburgh Airport, twenty minutes from the city centre and welcomes visitors all year round. Our easy walking parkland course is bounded on two sides by the Union Canal and is completely encircled by trees. An easy walking course of 5932 yards it has a variety of challenging holes of varying length. Our comfortably refurbished clubhouse offers bar snacks and a full menu and is popular with visiting golf parties throughout the year.

The Royal Musselburgh golf Club is one of the oldest clubs in the world. For 150 years it's members played over one of the oldest courses in the world, for one of the oldest trophies in the world. Now after more than 75 years on their course they can still cut their holes, to the correct size, with the oldest cutter in the world and still retain one of the most interesting collections of golf memorabillia in the world.

The Club offers people the chance to join a golf club with no waiting lists and expensive joining fees, and start their Medal playing career. Competitions for all levels of ability are provided across all of our golf courses that will give you the opportunity to achieve an official Scottish Golf Union Handicap. The Club is open to all members of the public and membership runs annually from the 1st April to the 31st March.

Swanston Golf Course sits snugly on the lower slopes of the Pentland Hills adjacent to Hillington ski slopes and adjoining Lothianburn Golf Club. The course enjoys magnificent views over Edinburgh, the Firth of Forth and onwards to Fife. Five miles from centre of Edinburgh west of Biggar Road (A702) . Parkland course. 18 holes 5024 yards. In 1744, a committee of the Gentlemen Golfers of Edinburgh drafted the first 13 rules of golf to compete for a silver golf club, presented by the City of Edinburgh, over Leith Links. John Rattray, a physician and champion, was the first winner and was declared ‘Captain of the Golf’ and thus winner of the first recorded open golf championship on 2nd April 1744.

In 1895 “The Edinburgh Establishment Golf Club Federation” was founded and originally played matches and outings on Edinburgh Public Courses. It was decided in 1902 by the Council of “The Federation” to take steps to acquire sufficient land for a private course. After much consideration it was agreed that the ground at Torphin Hill was the most suitable and work began immediately to lay out a course. The club was formed in 1895 with the course being built on land leased from Sheriff Shairp of the adjacent Houston Estate. The course is situated 7 miles to the west of Edinburgh Airport on the outskirts of Uphall Village 1 mile from junction 3 of the M8 motorway. The 18 hole Parkland course surrounded by mature trees is relatively flat and compact offering a testing challenge to all levels of golfer. West Linton Golf Course is a fine, 18 hole, moorland course situated on Slipperfield Moor above the conservation village of West Linton, Scotland. The course features wonderful views of the Scottish border country and is dominated by Mendick Hill to the south west. Many top professionals have graced our turf, including British Open and US Masters winner, Sandy Lyle. Sandy is an honorary member of the club.
